What this is

The structural work.
Done in a group.

The Adult Authority Reset is the live cohort version of the work I do in private practice with high-performing professionals who over-function — those who carry more than they should, give more than is returned, and find that rest does not reach the depletion they carry.

Over eight weeks, a small group of eight people work through the same structural process I use individually: mapping the pattern precisely, working at the somatic level where it actually runs, and building the relational mode that replaces it.

The group is not a support group. It is a working container. What makes it different from the self-paced course is the presence of others in the same pattern — witnessing that it is structural, not personal, and not unique to you.

No one is there to perform recovery or share in a way that feels exposed. The work is done in a contained, professionally held space. Confidentiality between participants is signed at intake.

Eight sessions.
One structural arc.

Each session builds on the previous one. The arc moves from identification to understanding to change — with no steps skipped.

Week 01

The Architecture

What the pattern is. How it was built. Why it feels like competence from the inside.

Shared language established. Preliminary pattern mapping for each participant. Each person leaves with a first-draft map of where their pattern operates most heavily and how it presents in their specific life.

Week 02

The Roots

Relational, structural, and identity origins of the pattern.

Deeper individual work within the group container. The three root types used as a diagnostic framework. Each participant identifies their primary root. The group begins to see common structural logic across different life contexts and histories.

Week 03

The Somatic Layer

The nervous system pattern that runs underneath the behaviour.

The over-functioning pattern runs faster than conscious thought. This session introduces somatic work — identifying the specific felt sense of activation in each person’s body, and the first interruption practice before the pattern can complete.

Week 04

What It Was Built to Protect

Every structural pattern is protecting something. This session finds what.

The deepest session of the programme. Individual work within the group to identify the original logic of the pattern — what it was built to protect, for whom, and when. This is where the pattern begins to lose its structural grip because it stops being invisible.

Week 05

The Relational Transaction

The invisible exchange: over-giving in return for safety, connection, or worth.

Naming the specific transaction underlying each person’s pattern. What they are over-giving. What they are hoping to receive. Why that exchange was originally rational, and why the terms no longer hold.

Week 06

Interruption in Practice

Using the tools in real relationships, in real time.

Session structured around live scenarios brought by participants from the preceding two weeks. Practising interruption before the pattern completes. Working with the specific relationships — professional and personal — where the pattern is hardest to interrupt.

Week 07

Relational Restructuring

Building a different way of being in relation to others — from choice, not compulsion.

What genuinely adult relating looks and feels like. Distinct from withdrawal, coldness, or enforced distance. The difference between generosity from abundance and giving from structural anxiety. Practising the new mode in session, with the group as a live relational field.

Week 08

Integration and Continuation

Sustaining the change. When the pattern reasserts. What to do when it does.

The conditions under which the pattern is most likely to return. Building the early warning system. Each participant leaves with a written map of their specific pattern, its roots, its triggers, and their personal interruption strategy.

The work

Three things. In sequence.

01 — Mapping

Precision identification

Exactly how the pattern operates in your specific life. Which relationships activate it most. What the felt sense is in your body. What specific beliefs are maintaining it. Not in general — with the precision required to actually change it.

02 — Interruption

Somatic interruption

The nervous system pattern underlying over-functioning runs faster than thought. Cognitive insight alone does not change it. Working at the somatic level creates the interruption before the pattern completes — at the level where it actually lives.

03 — Restructuring

Relational restructuring

Building a different way of relating. Not guarded or cold, but genuinely adult-to-adult — without the invisible transaction of over-giving in exchange for safety or connection. Practised in session, applied in life.

04 — The group

What the group adds

Witnessing others in the same structural pattern removes the conviction that this is personal weakness or permanent character. The group is a live relational field in which the new mode can be practised safely before it is used in the relationships that matter most.

What past clients say

In their own words.

“I came in thinking I needed to manage my emotions better. I left understanding why I had been managing other people’s emotions my whole life — and that I did not have to.”

Senior Partner · Law

“The work was precise. No filler. Every session felt like something actually shifted — not just talked about. My relationship with my team changed completely.”

Director · Financial Services

“I had tried therapy before. This was different. There was a clarity and directness that made me feel I was finally working on the real thing, not circling around it.”

Founder · Technology

Who this is for

The right fit —
and the wrong one.

This cohort is for you if

  • You are high-functioning and chronically depleted
  • You find it easier to give than to receive
  • You manage others’ emotions as a matter of course
  • Rest does not seem to fix the exhaustion
  • You want understanding, not coping strategies
  • You can commit to all eight sessions
  • You want the accountability of a live container

This cohort is not for you if

  • You are in acute mental health crisis
  • You want a support group or peer network
  • You are looking for communication scripts
  • You cannot commit to the full eight weeks
  • You prefer entirely private, self-paced work

Questions

Frequently asked.

How is this different from the self-paced course?

The self-paced course (The Authority Reset, £497) contains the same structural framework worked through privately at your own pace. The cohort adds direct weekly work with Yana, live somatic practice, the relational field of others in the same pattern, and built-in accountability across eight weeks. Both produce change. The cohort produces it faster and with more support.

Is this therapy?

No. The cohort is a structured programme drawing on psychological and somatic frameworks, held by a qualified psychological counsellor. It is not a therapeutic relationship and is not a substitute for individual therapy. If you are in acute distress, individual support is more appropriate.

What if I miss a session?

All sessions are recorded and shared with participants. That said, the live sessions are where most of the work happens, and the programme is designed to be attended in full. If you cannot commit to at least seven of eight sessions, the timing is not right.

Will I have to share personal things in front of others?

The work is done within the group, but participation is always calibrated to your comfort. You will not be asked to disclose more than you choose to. The container is professionally held and confidentiality is signed by all participants. The group tends to create safety quickly, because everyone is in the same structural pattern.

Can I work with Yana individually instead?

Yes. Individual sessions are available at £300 per session. A private three-month container is also available by application for those who want sustained individual work. Book a call to discuss.

What if I want to do the course first?

That is a reasonable sequence. The self-paced course gives you the framework privately; the cohort takes it further with live work and group. Many people who complete the course find that the group programme is the natural next step. Read about the self-paced course.
